<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact reforming apparatus in which a reformer and an evaporator for generating steam are integrated. <P>SOLUTION: In an oxidation autothermal reforming apparatus equipped with a reforming layer 2 at least a part of which is filled with a reforming catalyst where a mixture of a hydrocarbon or an aliphatic alcohol and steam is contacted with the reforming catalyst and a reformed gas containing hydrogen as a main component is produced by a reforming reaction, an oxidation exothermic layer 3 at least a part of which is filled with an oxidation catalyst where a part of the reformed gas is oxidized and generates heat, and an evaporator 7 for generating steam by vaporizing water, the reforming layer 2 and the oxidation exothermic layer 3 are formed to be cylindrical and arranged to form a triple pipe structure where the inner reforming layer 2A, the oxidation exothermic layer 3, and the outer reforming layer 2B are arranged in order from inside to outside in a radial direction and the evaporator 7 for generating steam is placed at the inside in the radial direction of the inner reforming layer 2A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
