A beverage containing the fermented soybean cheonggukjang (thick soybean paste), and a method for preparing the beverage are provided to prevent sunstroke in summer and to relieve thirst. A beverage containing the fermented soybean cheonggukjang is prepared by mixing the sterilized edible water and deep seawater in a clean container and filtering it; mixing a soybean (Rhynchosia Nulubilis) cheonggukjang powder, yellow sugar and citric acid, and filtering it with a filter of 80-120 mesh; and adding the filtered powder material to the filtered liquid material to mix them and filtering it.
