PURPOSE: A display device and a method for controlling the device thereof are provided to sequentially select an object located in the same row by operating four directional keys. CONSTITUTION: A control unit maps a plurality of objects(B01~B05) within an image in a right, left, up and down direction. When receiving a first movement command to direct right and left movement in a state in which a first object is selected, the control unit selects a second object corresponding to the same row of the first object by the control of an image processing unit.
