PHARMACEUTICAL FORMULATION HAVING IMPROVED DISSOLUTION RATE AND STABILITY FOR ORAL ADMINISTRATION CONTAINING TETRAARSENIC OXIDE

PURPOSE: An oral formulation containing tetraarsenic oxide is provided to improve elution rate and stability and to ensure excellent bioavailability. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical formulation with excellent elution rate and stability contains tetraarsenic(As_4O_6) with 10-150 um of average particle size as an active ingredient. The pharmaceutical formulation also contains 10-150 weight parts of excipient of lactose, calcium hydrogen phosphate or starch; 0.001-5 weight parts of lubricant of magnesium stearate or talc;1-60 weight parts of binder of microcrystalline cellulose, xanthan gum, or carrageenan; and 0.1-40 weight parts of disintegrant of carboxymethyl cellulose or low substituted hydroxyl propyl cellulose based on 1 weight part of the tetraarsenic. The formulation is manufactured in the form of tablets, granules, capsules, or dry syrup.
