PURPOSE: A muffler and a ship having the same are provided to heat water used for a ship using high-temperature waste heat generated from exhaust gas of the ship. CONSTITUTION: A muffler(10) comprises a refrigerant moving unit(20), a thermoelectric element(30), and a sound absorbing panel(40). The refrigerant moving unit has an inlet and an outlet. One surface of the thermoelectric element touches the outer surface of the refrigerant moving unit. One surface of the sound absorbing panel touches the other surface of the thermoelectric element.
