PURPOSE: A pneumatic tire having a knitted flipper is provided to reduce or absorb shear deformation and improve the durability of the tire with a small number of components. CONSTITUTION: A pneumatic tire having a knitted flipper comprises a carcass(22), a tread(12), and a belt unit(16), and a reinforcement unit. The tread is arranged in the outer side of the carcass in the radial direction of the tire. The belt unit is arranged between the carcass and the tread in the radial direction and comprises belts. The reinforcement unit offers a buffer for absorbing shear deformation and comprises a knitted layer that includes a first yarn and a second yarn.
