PURPOSE: A solar battery and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve a passivation effect by directly arranging a protection part consisting of an intrinsic semiconductor on a substrate. CONSTITUTION: A solar battery contains first impurities of a first conductivity type. The substrate is composed of a crystalline semiconductor(110). A first protection part is located on the plane of incidence of the substrate. A first electric field part(171) contain second impurities of a second conductivity type. An emitter part(121) contain third impurities of a third conductivity type. The emitter part is composed of a non-crystalline semiconductor. A first electrode(141) is connected to the emitter part. A second electrode(142) is electrically connected to the substrate. |
