(A) 1,4-Oxazino (3,4-alpha) isoquinolines - (I) R1 = H or lower alkoxy; R2 and R3 = lower alkoxy or, when R1 = H, R2 + R3 together form methylenedioxy - Am = an amino-, lower alkylamino-, lower dialkylamino-, morpholino-, 1-pyrrolidinyl-, piperidino-, piperazino-, 4-alkylpiperazino-, 4-hydroxyalkyl-piperazino- or 4-alkoxyalkyl-piperazino. - (B) Acid addition salts of (I) with organic and inorganic acids. - (I) have tranquillising activity and may be used in the treatment of fear, tension and excited conditions such as found in neuroses and psychoses.
