PURPOSE: An overloaded drive limit apparatus and method restrict the drive of vehicles and indicate overload warning phrases through a navigation apparatus. CONSTITUTION: An overloaded drive limit apparatus(200) comprises a measuring unit(210) and a determining unit(220). The measuring unit measures the load of an object loaded in a vehicle. The determining unit compares the load of the object and the load capacity of the unloaded vehicle and then determines whether the vehicle is overloaded or not. In case of the vehicle detected overloaded, the determining unit informs a user of overload. The determining unit transfers the overload information in order to restrict the drive of the vehicle to an operation part. The load capacity of the vehicle is inputted and saved in a navigation apparatus(100) by the user.
