PURPOSE: A ballast water treating system is provided to improve the environmentally-friendly characteristic of the system by recycling salt water scrapped from vessels and continuously supplying salt water of high concentration. CONSTITUTION: A ballast water treating system includes a ballast water treating unit(200), a water purifying unit(100), and a salt water supplying unit(300). The ballast water treating unit treats seawater based on an electrolysis method and stores the treated seawater in the ballast tank(280) of a vessel as ballast water. The water purifying unit is separately prepared from the ballast water treating unit. The water purifying unit purifies seawater into purified water. The salt water supplying unit is in connection with the ballast water treating unit and the purified water treating unit. The salt water supplying unit supplies sat water, generated from the water purifying unit, to the ballast water treating unit. |
