PURPOSE: A direct motor driven type honing machine for processing a turbine rotor core slot is provided to uniformly process a work piece by keeping a grinding unit in contact with the surface of the work piece. CONSTITUTION: A direct motor driven type honing machine for processing a turbine rotor core slot comprises a rotary unit(100), a plurality of grinding units(200), and a transferring unit. The rotary unit is inserted into a core slot and is directly connected to a drive motor(40). The grinding units are arranged in the outer circumferential surface of the rotary unit. The transferring unit moves the rotary unit back and forth into or out of the core slot. An air cylinder(11) is installed inside the grinding unit and presses the grinding unit against the inner circumferential surface of the core slot of the turbine rotational axis. The rotary unit and the drive motor are inserted into the core slot and transferred together.
