An apparatus for reducing the exhaust noise of an engine is provided to prevent vibration of an exhaust pipe due to rapid flow of exhaust gas by installing the apparatus at a bent portion of the exhaust pipe. An apparatus for reducing the exhaust noise of an engine includes a semi-circular band-shaped fixing member(3), a plurality of movable members(5), and a resilient member. The fixing member is fixed to the interior of a bent portion of the exhaust pipe. The movable members are rotatably installed in the fixing member. The movable member has an expanded state together with the fixing member and a folded state with the fixing member. The resilient member provides a force in the direction in which the movable members are expanded.
