PURPOSE: An oil seal for a crank shaft is provided to prevent oil leakage due to assembly fault and to utilize rotation speed of a crank shaft for driving information of a vehicle by installing a detection device in an oil seal so that rotation speed and a number of rotation of the crank shaft is detected. CONSTITUTION: An oil seal for a crank shaft comprises a retainer(20), a magnetic sensor(30), a sealing rubber(40), and a magnetic tone wheel(50). A supporting bracket(24) is installed in one side of the retainer and a stack seal is installed in the rear side of the retainer contacted with an engine block. A sensing hole(23a) and a coupling member are installed in a through-hole formed in a seal housing(21). The magnetic sensor is fixed in the supporting bracket of the retainer by a coupling unit(31). A sensing element(30a) at the lower end of the magnetic sensor is located in a space inside the seal housing of the retainer. The sealing rubber is coupled to the coupling member installed in the through-hole of the retainer. The magnetic tone wheel is rotatably coupled to the through-hole of the retainer and responds to the magnetic sensor. |
