PURPOSE: A negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery is provided to have excellent cycle life time and excellent capacity maintenance. CONSTITUTION: A negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery comprises a negative electrode active material layer comprising negative electrode active material in chemical formula 1: X-Ra-Rb. In chemical formula 1, X is a group derived from metallic active material, Ra is residue derived from silane coupling agent, and Rb is polymer containing a first repeating unit in chemical formula 2a. In chemical formula 2a, R^10-R^13 are same or different each other and a C1-5 alkyl group substituted by hydrogen or non-substituted, and n1 is the integer of 1-100,000.
