METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR GAUGING OF TANK LEVEL

PURPOSE: A measuring device for a residual quantity inside a storage tank and a measuring method are provided to fix a measuring device without changing a shape of a tank because the lower part of the outer pipe is supported in the bottom surface by a bracket and the upper part of the outer pipe is fixed to the top of the tank. CONSTITUTION: A measuring device(10) for a residual quantity inside a storage tank comprises an outer pipe(20), an inner pipe(30), a lower insulating member(70), an upper insulating member(60), and a detecting unit. The outer pipe is vertically arranged inside of the storage tank so that the top of the outer pipe is fixed to the top of the tank by a flange(40). The inner pipe is inserted into inside of the outer pipe and supported to be insulated with respect to the outer pipe. The lower insulating member is inserted into between the lower parts of the outer and inner pipes, thereby insulating the outer and inner pipes each other. The upper insulating member is supported by the flange and inserted into between the upper parts of the outer and inner pipes, thereby insulating the outer and inner pipes each other. The detecting unit is connected to the upper part of the inner pipe, thereby detecting a change of an electrostatic capacity.
