PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a control method thereof are provided to supply a 3D interface by a plurality of layers arranged in a 3D space. CONSTITUTION: A 3D user interface includes at least a part of a 3D layer structure. A touch screen(151) displays the 3D user interface. When a first pattern is touched through the touch screen, a control unit(180) assigns a different 3D depth to each layer of the 3D user interface.
