PURPOSE: A system and a method for blocking DDoS attacks are provided to install a DDoS attack blocking module in an infected computer by using an update server to block against DDoS attacks of infected computers. CONSTITUTION: A DDoS(Distributed Denial of Service) pattern detecting unit(21) detects a DDoS attack pattern. An update server(22) generates a DDoS attack blocking module including the DDoS attack pattern. The update server installs the DDoS attack blocking module in client computers. If an outbound pattern of a client computer is the same as the DDoS attack pattern, the DDoS attack blocking module blocks the transmission of the outbound packet.
