AMINE IMPREGRATED GRANULAR CARBON DIOXIDE ABSORBENTS AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An amine-based material impregnated granular carbon dioxide absorbent and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to function as the gas separating absorbent of operational processes. CONSTITUTION: Granular carbon dioxide absorbent includes granular materials and amine-based materials. The amine-based materials are impregnated into the granular materials. The granular materials include 55-75 weight% of mesoporous materials, 15-25 weight% of inorganic binder, 1-10 weight% of organic binder, and 1-10 weight% of substrate conversion additive. The mesoporous material is one selected from MCM-41(MOBIL COMPOSITION OF MATER-41), MCM-48(Mobil Composition of Mater-48), MCM-50(Mobil Composition of Mater-50), SBA-1(Santa Barbara-1), SBA-3(Santa Barbara-3), SBA-6(Santa Barbara-6), SBA-16(Santa Barbara-16), and SBA-15(Santa Barbara-15). The inorganic binder is one selected from bentonite, clay, mica, kaolin, zeolite, diatomite, and silica. The organic binder is one selected from a group including methyl cellulose, starch, gelatin, polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene oxide, and polyethylene glycol.
