PURPOSE: A rack bar support device of a steering apparatus for a car is provided to enhance the design freedom by improving a structure outside of a rack housing for reducing interference with the peripheral components and limit of assembly position. CONSTITUTION: A rack bar support device of a steering apparatus for a car comprises a rotary supporter(320), an elastic supporter(330), and a housing assembly(310). The rotary supporter supports the back of the rack bar having racks on the front side thereof and rotates on the rack bar. The elastic supporter supports the rotary supporter toward of the rack bar. The elastic supporter and the rotary supporter are inserted and coupled to each other. The housing assembly is coupled with a rack housing(145) and supports the elastic supporter. The rack bar support device is coupled to rack housings on both sides of a gear box.
