PURPOSE: A system and method for registering open type POI is provided to enable a user to create POI in a horizontal structure through the open API(Application Programming Interface). CONSTITUTION: An SNS(Social Network Service) media studio server(200) discloses map data including POI to a user. The SNS media studio server registers the interest location which is pointed by the user as an open POI. The SNS media studio server offers an open API for registering the open POI. The database stores the open POI with the relation of the user.
