PURPOSE: Filtering media for suppressing the algae bloom is provided to improve durability and to secure continuous alga eliminating effect by protecting metal oxide particles from water current using a synthetic resin layer. CONSTITUTION: Filtering media for suppressing the algae bloom includes a substrate and a synthetic resin layer. Metal oxide particles are mixed in the synthetic resin layer. The synthetic resin layer is arranged at one side or both sides of the substrate. The metal oxide particles include metal oxide particles embedded in the synthetic resin layer and at least partially protruded metal oxide particles from the synthetic resin layer. The metal oxide particles are aluminum oxide or ferric oxide. The sizes of the metal oxide particles are between 50 and 200um. The synthetic resin layer is acrylate resin or methacrylate resin. The thickness of the synthetic resin layer is between 60 and 150 um.
