<p>An optical engine for a micro projector. The output light from the light source is separated into two light paths with different polarization modes, which are modulated respectively and then combined to be one path. Thus the polarized light filtered previously can be utilized sufficiently, the efficiency of the light source can be increased, the power consumption and heat output of the optical engine can be reduced. For a three-color laser light source, only the different polarized light of the green laser is shunt-treated. For a LED light source, the output light from three light sources is combined to be one path and shunt-treated by a polarized light component.</p> |
