The hydraulic mounting device (1) has a cylinder (6) and a piston (8) arranged in the surface of a hydraulic chamber (7). The piston is operated to repeatedly supply hydraulic fluid into the hydraulic chamber. The cylinder is fixed in the hydraulic assembly, and the piston is moved by the supply of hydraulic fluid in pressing direction based on the operation of a pump (10). The pump is operated by motorized/external energy. The amount of supplied hydraulic fluid is determined by a measuring unit (12). An independent claim is included for method for pressing inner rings of roller bearings on hydraulic assembly.
