PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal complex compound that increases luminous efficiency of an organic light-emitting device and lowers a drive voltage and an organic light-emitting device containing the same.

SOLUTION: The metal complex compound is represented by chemical formula 1 (wherein M1 is a metal atom of group 2, group 12 or group 13 of the periodic table).
