<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of reducing an excessive rise in temperature of a heating rotator in a non-passage area of a paper sheet corresponding to paper sheets of a plurality of sizes having different lengths in the paper sheet width direction and suppressing enlargement of a diameter of a center core portion. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device comprises a heating rotator 9a, a pressure rotator 9b, an induction coil 71, and a magnetic core portion 72. The magnetic core portion 72 comprises: a first movable core portion 73 having one or more first core member side shielding portions 773A, 773B, and 773c arranged in a manner covering an outer surface of a first core member 739 corresponding to a transfer material T of a predetermined size; and a second movable core portion 75 having one or more second core member side shielding portions 782A and 782B arranged in a manner covering each outer surface area of a second core member 751 corresponding to the transfer material T of different sizes from the sizes to which respective one or more first core member side shielding portions correspond. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
