<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release film rarely causing the migration of a silicone in spite of having a heavy-release property and excelling in resistance to atmospheric exposure. <P>SOLUTION: The release film has a layer formed of a coating material containing an addition-curable silicone on at least one side of a polyester film, wherein the coating material mainly consists of a silicone containing 0.2 or more equivalent of phenyl relative to the number of Si atoms of a vinyl-containing polysiloxane chain, and simultaneously contains a reactive heavy-release controlling agent.
