[Problem] To provide an optical pick up device capable of reading, by means of three laser beams having different wavelengths, signals stored in optical discs having different standards. [Solution] An optical pickup device provided with a first beam splitter (6) for guiding the laser beam emitted from a dual-wavelength laser diode (3) in the direction of an objective lens and for guiding the laser beam reflected off the signal recording layer of each optical disc in the direction of an optical detector (16), wherein the length of the optical path between the dual-wavelength laser diode (3) and the first beam splitter (6) and the length of the optical path between the first beam splitter (6) and the optical detector (16) are the same.
