PURPOSE: An apparatus for predicting a vehicle route and a method there are provided to accurately predict path of a vehicle, thereby increase stability of driving. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for predicting a vehicle route comprises a wheel speed detection unit(11), a steering-arm angle detecting unit(14), a route prediction part(15), and a yaw rate detection unit(13). The wheel speed detection unit detects velocity of the vehicle. The steering-arm angle detects steering angle of the vehicle. The way prediction part detects a side-slip angle of the vehicle. The way prediction part compares a reference angle with the detected side-slip angle. The way prediction part computes yaw rate if the detected side-slip angle is less than the reference.
