<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control electric conduction of EHC by eliminating false electric leak due to carbon or water. <P>SOLUTION: When the electric conduction requirement of the EHC is made (100), a vehicle control apparatus measures an insulating resistance (102). When the insulating resistance is smaller than a predetermined value, the vehicle control apparatus performs carbon and water recovery control (112) by heating a catalyst after starting an engine without immediately determining the value of the insulating resistance to be abnormal, measures the insulating resistance again (116), determines whether the insulating resistance is the predetermined value or larger (118) and determines the insulating resistance is abnormal and makes notification when the insulating resistance is smaller than the predetermined value (120). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
