<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an art allowing a performer to surely produce intended sound with a performance feeling close to an actual wind instrument. <P>SOLUTION: This control device for notifying a sound production mode is connected to a main body of a wind instrument and multistagedly detects a physical quantity generated by a motion that a performer performs with the mouth to a mouthpiece part having such a shape that the performer can perform with the mouth. Also, this control device for notifying the sound production mode stores pitch information in which a relationship of the physical quantity generated by the motion to the mouthpiece, and an operation state in a plurality of operation means operated by the performer's fingers, with respective pitches is previously defined.
