<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter allowing formation of a color layer by an inkjet method, preventing invasion of the color layer into an adjacent pixel and preventing color performance variation among pixels, and having high brightness. <P>SOLUTION: A color filter having a black matrix and three or more color layers on a substrate where at least one color thereof is formed by an inkjet method is characterized in that the black matrix is formed with a coating liquid for forming a black matrix which contains a liquid-repellent agent, the black matrix has an opening surrounded by two long side parts and two short side parts, and that the line width of the long side parts and/or the short side parts forming the opening is 5.0 μm or more and 11 μm or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
