<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel cyclic olefin compound with photoreactive groups, and a photoreactive polymer, which is adaptable to various photoreactions such as a liquid crystal oriented film, and which can be suitably used for a precursor of various organic compounds or polymers. <P>SOLUTION: The cyclic olefin compound has photoreactive groups, expressed with a [chemical formula 1] and [chemical formula 1a].
