<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time and labor to attach an auxiliary member in a backrest where the auxiliary member is mounted on a lumbar reception member for supporting a lumbar support device 25 so as to be adjustable in height. <P>SOLUTION: The auxiliary member 27 is mounted on the front surface of the lumbar reception member 16a. The lumbar support device 25 includes an elevation body 19, and the lumbar reception member 16a and the auxiliary member 27 are surrounded by the holding part 19a of the elevation body 19. A lumbar pad 11 is attached to the elevation body 19, and locking is released when a lever 22 is moved downward. Flanges 33 and 35 are formed at both upper and lower ends of the auxiliary member 27 and fitted to the holding grooves 34 and 36 of the lumbar reception member 16a. The lower holding groove 36 is opened diagonally upward. The lower flange 35 is held by right and left holding pieces 35a so as not to be horizontally moved.
