<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation device for controlling a multicolor light source, and to obtain a simple operation in a luminaire equipped with this type of operation device. <P>SOLUTION: The operation device for controlling a multicolor light source comprises a touch response operation member 10 which is operated when a user touches the member, a proximity switch 11 which is turned on when the user approaches that member, and a controller 12 which controls a multicolor light source 2. The controller 12 controls the multicolor light source 2 by a predetermined number of colors and luminances.
