<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the machining time of a herringbone gearing. <P>SOLUTION: Relating to a processing method and an apparatus for generating control data, a first tooth flank geometry 12b corresponding to a geometry of a first tooth flank of the herringbone gearing is determined, a second tooth flank geometry 13b corresponding to a geometry of a second tooth flank of the herringbone gearing is determined, a transition part geometry 14b corresponding to a geometry of a transition part between the first tooth flank and the second tooth flank is determined, an overall tooth flank geometry 12b, 13b, 14b which includes the first tooth flank geometry 12b, the transition part geometry 14b and the second tooth flank geometry 13b is determined, and the control data is generated based on the overall tooth flank geometry 12b, 13b, 14b. There is provided the processing method wherein, machining paths are indicated, each extending transversely to the profile direction of the tooth flanks and along the first tooth flank geometry 12b, the transition part geometry 14b and the second tooth flank geometry 13b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
