<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which enables change of a video to be displayed, by simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: In a display system, rotation operation performed while the video of a recording medium is displayed is received by a command reception part as a command to display on a display a list M3 indicating plural chapters of the recording medium and a command to select a chapter to be displayed on the display from the list. Accordingly, a user only has to perform rotation operation to display on the display the list of the chapters of the recording medium and to select the chapter to be displayed from the list.
