<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a process to add hydrophobic texture to a pipette tip and a pipette tip surface. <P>SOLUTION: A pipette tip 10 comprises an outer hydrophobic region 32 on an outside 30 of the pipette tip 10 and an inner hydrophobic region 26 on an inside 28 of the pipette tip 10, each having a prescribed peak-to-peak roughness. The axial extension range of the outer hydrophobic region 32 and the axial extension range of the inner hydrophobic region 26 differ from one another.
