Catalyst contains Pd in combination with is not >40 wt. % Re or W or W and Ru. Pref. combinations are 80-99% Pd + 1-20, pref. 5% W + 0.5-5, pref. 1% Ru. This can be used in form of non-porous membrane, foil, tube, film etc. acting as partition in reactor and delectively permeable only for H2. This catalyst is used for dehydrogenation or dehydrocyclisation of paraffins, dehydrogenation of 2-20 C olefins and hydrodealkylation of alkyl-aromatic hydrocarbons. These reactions can be carried out separately or together. It can be used to produce monomers for synthetic material, medicines and other organic intermediates, processing petroleum and natural gas hydrocarbons and vegetable oils and for production of very pure H2. Catalyst has improved thermal stability. |
