The method involves generating an activation signal by a control system (50) during a predetermined vehicle maneuver. The predetermined vehicle maneuver is a hard threshold-braking maneuver on a surface with a low threshold friction coefficient. A feeding or a forwarding of an optimal value-torque from traction motors (16,18) in or to the drive train of a hybrid electric vehicle (10) is assigned in a similar direction as the combustion engine torque through the control system.
