A float-actuated valve for controlling the flow of sewage from a chamber 9 to an aerating plant in chamber 10 has a valve member 2 movable relative to an opening 8 to reduce the flow opening with upper conical portion 2a as the liquid in chamber 9 rises from level 14 to level 13 and thus to maintain a constant flow. A lower conical portion 2b of the valve member allows excess flow if the liquid in chamber 9 exceeds level 13. |
