DEVICE FOR DETECTING SURFACE LEVEL OF LIQUID IN CONTAINER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for detecting liquid level in a server container of a beverage extraction device which is especially used for an aircraft.

SOLUTION: A device for detecting a surface level of liquid 22 in a container, comprises a supporting housing 40 which can move between an upper lock releasing position and a lower locking portion, and fits with an upper opening portion of the container 24 when positioned at the lower locking portion; primary liquid level detecting means 52 which is provided in the supporting housing, and measures the surface level of the liquid in the container in a noninvasive manner; and secondary liquid level detecting means 54 which is provided in the supporting housing, and detects a predetermined surface level of the liquid in the container in an invasive manner for preventing incidental overflow when the primary liquid level detecting means malfunctions.
