<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power amplifying apparatus applicable even to a wide-band signal, while improving power conversion efficiency when amplifying signals having a large ratio of a peak power to an average power. <P>SOLUTION: The power amplifying apparatus comprises: a plurality of amplifiers 16 to 18 to which signals having mutually different power levels are input and respectively amplified in an almost saturated state; band-pass filters 19 to 21 for reducing spurious components in an output from the each amplifier; antennas 22 to 24 for emitting an output signal of each of the band-pass filters into space; a DC-DC converter 30 for supplying an optimal drain voltage to the each amplifier so that it can operate in the almost saturated state; and a signal distribution section 12 for detecting a power level of an input signal and outputting the input signal to the amplifier that operates in the almost saturated state at the detected power level. The power amplifying apparatus is also provided with a frequency division circuit 41 for performing a frequency division on a modulated signal to input it to the signal distribution section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
