<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of identifying a position of a person by a small number of sensors. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner includes a human body detecting sensor 7 driven to the right/left directions, right/left wind direction blades 4A(4B) for controlling the wind direction to the right/left directions, and vertical wind direction blades 5A(5B) for controlling the wind direction to the vertical direction. The air conditioner has a scanning mode for driving the sensor to the right/left directions to identify a heat source and a fixing mode for fixing the sensor to identify a human body. The air conditioner shifts to the fixing mode after the scanning mode to detect a human body. A room is divided into a plurality of blocks in the direction of driving the human body detecting sensor. If a plurality of human bodies are detected in the same block in the depth direction, the wind is directed to a near human body during heating operation and to a far human body during cooling operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
