<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply form a seal component part without requiring the degree of skill, and also, to prevent a sealant from protruding to the outside of an area of a both-end connection part or from scattering together with weld spatters when executing joining work such as spot welding. <P>SOLUTION: A side-sill reinforcing member is composed of one split member 3 and the other divided member 4 that are formed by dividing the side-sill reinforcing member into the front part and the rear part in its longitudinal direction. A plurality of embossed parts 6 are intermittently formed at an end connection part 3a of the one split member 3. A tape-like insulator formed with fitting holes 5a respectively fitted to each embossed part 6 is pasted to the end connection part 3a. The end connection parts 3a, 4a of both of the split members 3, 4 are overlapped with each other while interposing the tape-like insulator therebetween. The embossed parts 6 appearing from the fitting holes 5a of the tape-like insulator and the end connection part 4a are joined by welding so as to connect both of the split members 3, 4 to each other while being sealed by the tape-like insulator 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
