<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal pump capable of surely guiding a priming fluid to a mechanical seal. <P>SOLUTION: In this centrifugal pump 15, a crankshaft 18 is projected in a case 21 via the mechanical seal 41, an impeller 23 is arranged on the projected crankshaft, the impeller is covered with a volute 28 stored in the case, and a supply port 48a is arranged for supplying the priming fluid in the case. In this centrifugal pump, a guiding groove 45 for guiding the priming fluid is formed up to the mechanical seal from the supply port on an inner wall surface 36b of the case, and thereby, a guide port 46 is formed in the middle of the guiding groove for guiding the priming fluid to the mechanical seal by the edge 28b of the volute and the guiding groove. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
