<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal pump capable of sufficiently securing negative pressure in a volute in self-priming operation, and capable of sufficiently securing a delivery quantity of fluid in steady operation. <P>SOLUTION: This centrifugal pump is a pump for delivering a sent-out fluid by sending out the fluid sucked in the volute 28 by rotating an impeller 23 along the volute 28, by storing the impeller 23 in the volute 28. The volute 28 of this centrifugal pump has first and second swelling parts 51 and 54 in the vicinity of first and second winding start parts 45a and 46a of the volute 28, for generating turbulence in a flow of the fluid sent out by rotation of the impeller 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
