PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent increase in cost as well as overall enlargement and complication of a device in formation of a square back in a portion of the back of a sheet bundle.

SOLUTION: The post treatment device includes a second conveying unit 12; a sheet support tray 143; a stapling processing unit 13; a middle folding processing unit 14; a backing member 144; and a roller rotation control unit 174. The roller rotation control unit 174 rotates a pair of folding rollers 142 in a direction of moving the sheet bundle in a first direction in middle folding processing, and rotates the pair of folding rollers 142 in a direction of moving the sheet bundle in a second direction when the backing member 144 presses the back portion of the sheet bundle.
