<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shut-down method for fuel cell power plant, capable of preventing deterioration of a cathode catalyst layer resulting from formation of a partial battery by blocking formation of the partial battery resulting from blending fuel gas with oxidant gas at an anode after the shut-down of a power plant. <P>SOLUTION: In shutting down a fuel cell power plant, first, fuel gas supply to an anode is stopped, and dry oxidant gas is supplied to a cathode 3 to drop an output voltage of a fuel cell stack 1. A secondary cell 31 is connected with the fuel cell stack 1 to consume electric power generated by residual fuel gas of the anode. Next, the residual fuel gas of the anode is replaced with oxidant gas. Then, the fuel cell stack 1 is set under a sealed state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
