<p>Resin coated elements having a core of rigid material are mfd by applying the polymerisable resin, in a liquid or paste state, under pressure into the free space between the core and a hollow mould whose interior dimensions = the exterior dimensions of the finished element, allowing the resin to polymerise, and removing the element from the mould. The method is suitable for the mfe. of panels for use in buildings and furniture, a wide variety of profiles, and boat hulls. The method provids elements consisting of rigid cores entirely surrounded by polymerised resin in an economical manner. The elements have a high mechanical strength, good unifromity, and good insulating properties.</p> |
