<p>A dome-type camera (1) comprises: a camera lens (6) which is rotatable in a tilt direction; a dome cover (3) which covers the camera lens (6); and an aperture control unit (9) which carries out a control of the degree of aperture of the camera lens (6). The degree of aperture is set to become smaller, from an open value to a closed value, in response to the tilt angle of the camera lens (6) becoming smaller in moving from the zenith direction of the dome cover (3) toward the horizontal direction. It is possible with this dome-type camera (1) to obtain quality low-tilt angle images with minimized defocusing even with a megapixel dome camera.</p>
